Introduction
Le programme de maîtrise ès arts offre une introduction à l'architecture de paysage. Coursework met l'accent sur les facteurs essentiels impliqués dans la création d'espaces extérieurs. Ce programme est approprié pour les étudiants qui veulent en savoir plus sur la profession mais qui ne sont pas intéressés à exercer en tant qu'architecte paysagiste à l'avenir.

Design Proposals
- Démontrer une maîtrise de base des principes, systèmes et éléments clés de la conception qui éclairent la planification et la conception en deux et trois dimensions ainsi que la composition graphique.
- Produire des propositions de conception et de planification défendables qui reflètent une prise de conscience des facteurs historiques, écologiques et climatiques d'un site donné.
- Résoudre de manière créative les problèmes de planification et de conception
Research and Design Process
- Mener des recherches suffisantes et analyser les résultats à des moments appropriés du processus de planification et de conception.
- Explorer suffisamment de concepts et d'alternatives et les tester par rapport aux critères et normes pertinents
Natural Systems
- Identifier et évaluer les principales caractéristiques et processus trouvés sur un site (tels que les types de sol, les espèces végétales individuelles, les communautés végétales, la faune, les conditions climatiques et l'hydrologie) pour déterminer les opportunités et les contraintes de conception.
Facteurs humains et sociaux
- Démontrer une compréhension des complexités qui existent entre le comportement humain et l'espace extérieur dans les propositions de planification et de conception.
Technical Systems and Materials
- Appliquer les principes de durabilité lors de la planification et de la conception des plans de nivellement et de drainage.
- Sélectionner et évaluer les matériaux qui amélioreront à la fois les qualités esthétiques et écologiques d'un site donné et répondront aux exigences programmatiques du client et/ou du groupe d'utilisateurs.

Communication visuelle et verbale
- Consolider la recherche et présenter les idées dans des présentations verbales et écrites concises et convaincantes
- Appliquer avec succès divers supports graphiques pour communiquer clairement des idées et des concepts qui reflètent le processus de conception et les propositions de projets.

Landscape Renderer
Landscape renderers are responsible for the creation of drawings, plans, elevations, perspectives, and axonometric to communicate design intent and the spatial experience.
Master Planner
Abstract an idea in spatial forms as a master planner. You'll envision and design large-scale communities and lead the design process from conception to final construction.
Planting Designer
Create a planting designer based on site analysis, concept, and horticultural possibilities as a planting designer. You'll use plants in a creative and sustainable way to design projects at various scales.
Urban Designer
Responsible for the design or redesign of existing urban spaces, the urban designer crafts unique and usable apices for the public. Revitalize existing amenities, or create new physical connections in this unique and inspiring career path.
Urban Strategist
As an urban strategist, you'll develop strategies to improve underutilized urban sites to improve social impact. Urban strategists and typically landscape architects, designers, or urban designers looking to create a behavioral and social impact in urban environments.
